A genesis...a new beginning.
How many of those are wished for in a lifetime? How many shooting stars, how many prayers lift wordless desires up to the skies each night? It seems like everyone makes mistakes they wish could be erased at some point, which leads me to pose a question.
TIME MACHINES: If we had them, wouldn't we make more mistakes knowing they could be undone, or just for the thrill of that unattainable "badassness" like robbing a bank? Or would that lucky mad scientist actually place faith in the sinful masses by believing we would consume its powers wisely and with good intentions? Doubts, my friends...
So many books and movies have been made (i.e. Harry Potter's "Time Turner" device and "The Butterfly Effect") that discuss the effects of such machines, yet we are no closer to developing a successful prototype. Could there be a reason behind this? Has the idea been put out there to tantalize our greedy imaginations but the evidence withheld because those in power know what supreme damage we are capable of? Then again, we have come a long way from bloomers and pocket watches and made considerable headway into human microchipping and cloning, which was never thought possible.
Would you like to see a time machine made, so we could all have the chance to relive or redo those crucial moments? Or would you rather prevent it, knowing what harm could come from that machine in human hands, no matter how wonderful the opportunity would be? I guess we'll see in the next few years. =)
